The Role
To provide tailored employment support to individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people, helping them access, retain, and progress in meaningful paid or voluntary employment. The role involves working closely with the people we support, employers, and support services to ensure individuals are fully prepared and supported in their employment journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to individuals, helping them identify career goals and develop jobseeking skills

Kisharon Langdon UK has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join their growing team in North West London. Kisharon Langdon are a charity offering a wider breadth of services of enhanced quality, enabling us to better support people with a learning disability and autistic people and their families. The Role
Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, the Maintenance Assistant will assist in delivering a high-quality maintenance and facilities management service across our NW London sites.
You will be required to ensure compliance, conduct inspections/checks/testing, carry out and/or supervise repair & maintenance works at properties under the management of the Housing Team.
The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the front-line service to our members for facilities and property management in relation to the 50 properties within the supported living services in North West London and Hertfordshire.
The post holder will be responsible for Langdon College, Maccabi House and various other properties as required: with the expectation to carry out various maintenance duties to the remaining rented housing portfolio.
As part of the role, the post holder will need to be responsible for managing sub-contractors carrying out preventative maintenance work, and at times, work with them to achieve the outcomes required.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure health & safety checks including fire alarm testing, legionella flushing, emergency light testing, and site safety/security checks are carried out regularly at Kisharon Langdon properties and offices, maintaining the safety and welfare of our members and staff,
- To carry out a preventative, planned maintenance program and undertake routine inspections of the premises, fixtures, fittings, utility meters, and grounds,
- To carry out repairs, maintenance, improvement works and inspections to ensure the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises, e.g. assemble furniture, fit curtain poles, general household repairs etc,
- To act as a contact for Contractors attending properties, ensuring they are fully aware of the organisation’s attendance procedures, that they will follow full H&S procedures/risk assessments and permits to work are issued/reviewed where required.
- To ensure keys, access cards and access codes/fobs are signed out and recovered according to procedures, to maintain security of buildings,
- To ensure basic electrical safety procedures are adhered to and PAT testing is organised and carried out as required.
About You
Understanding of basic maintenance strategies and buildings,
Be able to undertake basic plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical and painting/finishing trades,
A good all-round knowledge of the building maintenance industry,
Knowledge and understanding of current legal and legislative responsibilities related to Asbestos, Legionella, Fire Safety, Manual Handling, Working at Height, COSHH, Building Regulations etc,
Level 2 in Building Maintenance or Multi-trade Repair and Refurbishment Operations or similar.

Key Responsibilities
- Help Desk Management: Oversee the Help Desk, report and assign reactive maintenance work orders, ensuring data accuracy in the CAFM system.
- Maintenance Coordination: Ensure accurate and complete job paperwork, providing maintenance KPI and service level reports.
- Contract Management: Keep all maintenance contracts up to date in the CAFM system.
- System Optimization: Maximize CAFM system use and suggest improvements.
- Contractor Liaison: Ensure timely closure of work orders with contractors.
- Stock Management: Monitor, control, and track stock with the Estates team.
- Procurement: Assist in Sourcing, negotiating where necessary, and manage supplier contracts for the best quality, price, and terms.
- Supplier Relations: Follow up with suppliers, address delays, research new products, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
About You
The ideal candidate will have helpdesk skills and a trade background, enabling them to offer basic problem-solving advice and support a busy Help Desk. Experience in determining necessary goods, services, and equipment for the company is essential.
You must possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills in addition to strong analytical thinking skills. You should be a self-motivated problem-solver, be able to work under pressure and be capable to work independently and/or as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT skills are required for this role, but you must also possess strong attention to detail, strong prioritisation skills and the ability to adapt to manage change as needed.

Kisharon Langdon has an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager to join their growing team in North West London.
The Role
The Service Manager is responsible for ensuring the organisation provides a person-centred service to all members, building relationships with them, their families and the local community. The role is responsible for the supervision and management of a team of support workers, writing care and support plans and rota planning. The post holder will also be responsible for team management for annual leave, appraisals, performance management and any employee relations issues. The Service Manager will work in partnership with the Registered Manager to deliver against all strategic objectives within the operations division.
Key Responsibilities
- To work alongside the Registered Manager, organising and writing care and support plans, and risk assessments. Also supporting staff to provide person centred services to our members, adhering to organisational policies and procedures and quality systems.
- To be responsible for the delivery of the service which takes into account all of the day-to-day operational requirements, and also quality measurements and monitoring.
- To deputise for the Registered Manager and be the responsible manager in their absence carrying out all the duties that this position entails.
- To ensure the service has the required level of resources to support members, including ensuring that the service is fully staffed according to agreed levels.
- To ensure that all members are aware of all social, recreational, and community opportunities and events and facilitate necessary access.
About You
Qualified to NVQ in Health & Social Care – Level 4 / RMA or Level 5 Diploma, or currently working towards. Minimum requirement Level 3, you will have experience in rota planning in line with contracted care needs across a 24-hours, 7-day rota. You will have previous experience of financial management, budget control, line management and working with adults with a learning disability and autistic people.
